From 1st June, every home that is put on the market for sale in England and Wales will need an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) as part of the Home Information Pack (HIP).

Energy saving is the biggest issue alongs side energy carbon emissions. Would  silver foil put down the back of the radiators stop heat loss? Is it worth lagging the loft? Would a more efficient boiler cut heating bills? What's cavity wall insulation?

It would be nice to see what a dwelling scores in a energy rating A to G.

From a buyer's perspective, the news that from this summer every home buyer will get full details of how energy efficient their new home is sounds great. The Goverment has reacted to the way emissions and energy waste is affecting our planet. We can all do our part by making sure we comply with standards set by energy professionals.
